About Golden View Elementary

School History

Golden View Elementary School, located in San Ramon, California, opened its doors in August of 1989 with 534 students. Over the years, Golden View has been able to successfully combine an extraordinary teaching staff with a caring environment to produce remarkable academic achievements. In 2002, Golden View was recognized by the State of California as a California Distinguished School. Distinguished Schools are considered to be the state's most exemplary, inspiring, and well-rounded public schools.

In the same year, the Golden View Gator Education Fund was established as a way of enhancing the already outstanding opportunities available to the students of Golden View. This non-profit organization is dedicated to providing resources to over 600 students. The Gator Fund is currently raising funds to upgrade the computer lab, purchase science and playground equipment, and additional classroom textbooks. The staff at Golden View, in collaboration with the Gator Fund, continually strives to maximize the quality of education available to all students.

Vision Statement

Golden View School promotes staff, parents and students striving to work collaboratively toward the achievement of school goals, its vision, and a standards-based education. Together we endeavor to create a safe environment, which fosters the development of responsible, caring students who are critical thinkers and lifelong learners in pursuit of personal excellence, and who can adapt to the challenges of the future.
